2024 Lexus GX instrument cluster display may fail to show warnings

Certain 2024-2025 Toyota and Lexus vehicles including GX, UX Hybrid, Mirai, and Land Cruiser Hybrid may not display critical warning lights and indicators due to a software issue. Toyota will provide free software updates beginning July 12, 2026.

The failure of the instrument cluster to display critical safety information—such as engine coolant temperature and electrical charge status—increases the risk that a driver may not notice a safety issue, potentially leading to a crash or injury. No injuries or crashes have been reported at this time.

A total of 81,893 vehicles are affected by this recall. Toyota will update the combination meter software at no cost to owners. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 12, 2026. Owners can contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 to schedule service. Toyota's internal recall numbers for this campaign are 26LB06, 26LA06, 26TB10, and 26TA10.
