The defect is located in the electrical system software. While idling, the electrical control unit may transmit an error that prevents the truck from being driven. A vehicle that is unable to move as needed increases the risk of a crash.
Dealers will reprogram the battery management system and DC-Box software free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 30, 2026. Owners may contact MFTA customer service at 1-877-711-0707. MFTA's number for this recall is C10136. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning March 16, 2026.
