Plain-English summary
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2025 Bronco Sport, Escape, and Lincoln Corsair vehicles. The recall addresses a defect where the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) may not illuminate at startup or while driving. This failure causes the vehicles to not comply with several Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, including those for control and displays, transmission shift lever sequence, and other safety requirements.
The defect increases the risk of a crash because the instrument panel display may fail to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 17, 2025.
Dealers will replace the instrument panel cluster free of charge. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236. Ford's number for this recall is 25C02.
