Ford Bronco Sport and Maverick 12-volt batteries can suddenly fail
Ford is recalling certain 2021-2023 Bronco Sport and 2022-2023 Maverick vehicles because the 12-volt battery may degrade and suddenly fail, cutting electrical accessories or drive power.
What this means for you
Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.
Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 4 covers structural vehicle defects: sudden battery failure can cause a loss of drive power as well as loss of the hazard lights, not merely a degraded function.
