What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a structural defect in a child restraint system that fails to meet federal safety standards, posing a risk of injury in a crash, but no specific injuries or fatalities are reported in the source text.
Plain-English summary
Evenflo Company, Inc. is recalling certain All4One child seats. In rear-facing mode, the adjustable recline mechanism may shift out of proper position. As a result, these child seats fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 213, "Child Restraint Systems."
A child seat that does not maintain proper recline position may not adequately secure a child in a crash, increasing the risk of injury. Additionally, if another passenger puts their hand in the recline mechanism when it shifts out of position, their risk of injury is increased.
Evenflo will replace the child seat free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning February 18, 2026. Owners may contact Evenflo customer service at 1-800-233-5921.
