BMW and MINI front body structure bolts may not be tightened

BMW is recalling certain 2023-2024 228i, 228i xDrive and 2025 MINI Countryman S ALL4 vehicles because the bolts connecting the front body structure to the chassis may be loose.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: Loose fasteners joining the front body structure to the chassis are a structural vehicle defect, which the rubric places at Severe.
