Nova Bus LFS buses recalled for auxiliary heater electrical short and defrosting failure

Nova Bus (US) Inc. is recalling certain 2019-2024 LFS buses and 2019-2023 LFS Artic buses due to a defect in the auxiliary heater module. The module may allow contaminants to enter the electronic controller, causing an electrical short. Additionally, the auxiliary heater may fail, preventing the windshield defrosting system from functioning properly.

An electrical short in the auxiliary heater increases the risk of fire. A non-functioning defrosting system reduces the driver's visibility, which can increase the risk of a crash. No injuries or incidents have been reported.

Owners should contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-800-350-6682 to arrange the repair. Nova Bus will replace the auxiliary heater air intake at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed on January 28, 2025.
