Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Plain-English summary

Rivian Automotive, LLC is recalling certain 2022-2023 R1T and R1S vehicles. The maximum vehicle capacity weight value printed on the tire placard label is incorrect. These vehicles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 (Tire Selection and Rims).

An incorrect capacity weight value on the tire placard may cause owners to overload their vehicles. Overloading can increase the risk of a crash.

The recall affects certain 2022 and 2023 model year R1T and R1S vehicles. Owner notification letters were mailed August 8, 2024.

Owners will receive a corrected overlay tire placard label by mail at no cost. For questions about whether your vehicle is affected, contact Rivian customer service at 1-888-748-4264.
