Porsche Taycan battery short circuit increases fire risk

Porsche is recalling certain 2020-2023 Taycan models due to a potential short circuit in the high-voltage battery that increases fire risk. Owners are advised to charge only to 80% until dealers replace the affected battery modules free of charge.

If you own one of these vehicles, Porsche advises you to charge your vehicle only to a maximum of 80% battery capacity until the repair is completed. Dealers will replace the affected battery modules free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on October 8, 2024.
