Prevost Motor Coaches Recalled for Fire Risk in Grid Heater System
Prevost Car (US) Inc. is recalling 204 certain 2023-2024 H3-45 and X3-45 VIP motor coaches due to loose grid heater cable connections that can cause the relay to overheat, increasing fire risk.

Prevost Car (US) Inc. is recalling certain 2023 H3-45 VIP and related model years 2023-2024 H3-45, 2023-2024 H3-45 VIP, 2023-2024 X3-45 VIP, 2023-2024 X3-45 VIP Entertainer, and 2024 X3-45 motor coaches. A total of 204 units are affected. The grid heater cables that connect to the relay may have a loose connection due to improper installation or assembly.
A loose connection can cause the relay to overheat. An overheating relay increases the risk of an electrical fire in the heating system.
Owners should contact Prevost customer service at 1-908-222-7211 to schedule an inspection and repair. Prevost will inspect and replace any damaged components and tighten the grid heater relay nuts as necessary, at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 30, 2023.
