The electronic control module located in the driver's side footwell area may short-circuit due to corrosion caused by water and road salt. This electrical short-circuit can increase the risk of a fire.
Dealers will inspect the sunroof drains, interior footwell area, and FRM, and replace certain components depending on the inspection results. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 13, 2024.
