Field Van Sprinter vehicles recalled for unintended winch operation
Field Van is recalling certain 2019-2022 Sprinter vehicles with Warn Winch wireless remotes. Water intrusion into the remote can cause corrosion and unintended winch operation, increasing injury risk.

Plain-English summary
Field Van, Inc is recalling certain 2019-2022 Sprinter vehicles equipped with a Warn Winch and wireless handheld remote. Water can enter the wireless remote control, causing corrosion of the circuit board. This corrosion can allow the winch to operate unintentionally.
The recall affects approximately 20 vehicles. Owners were notified by letter on April 19, 2023.
Owners should inspect their remote for corrosion and disable the wireless function by removing the battery pack. If corrosion or water intrusion is found, owners should stop using the remote and contact Warn customer service for a free replacement. Once available, Warn will provide free replacement water-resistant remotes.
