2019-2022 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid battery charging system recall
Subaru is recalling 2019-2022 Crosstrek Hybrid vehicles because the harness terminal supplying power to the 12-Volt battery may corrode and break, preventing charging. A non-functioning battery can cause loss of drive power and increase crash risk.

Plain-English summary
Subaru of America, Inc. is recalling certain 2019-2022 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid vehicles due to an electrical system defect affecting the 12-Volt battery charging system.
The harness terminal that supplies low-voltage power from the converter to the 12-Volt battery may corrode and break over time. When this terminal fails, the 12-Volt battery cannot recharge properly. This defect can cause a loss of drive power, significantly increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
This recall affects 8,413 Crosstrek Hybrid vehicles from model years 2019 through 2022. Owners received notification letters by May 12, 2023. If you own an affected vehicle, contact Subaru at 1-844-373-6614 to schedule the repair.
