The red beacon lighting on the TWS may not be bright enough, causing the kits to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 403, "Platform Lift Systems." Beacons that do not provide proper illumination may be less visible to wheelchair lift users, which increases the risk of injury.
