The defective camera fails to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 111, which governs rear visibility. An inoperative rearview camera reduces the driver's ability to see behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Affected owners were notified by mail on February 7, 2023. Dealers will supply and install a digital rearview camera free of charge. Owners should contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403 to arrange service.
