Plain-English summary
Autocar, LLC is recalling certain 2019, 2020, and 2021 model year Xpeditor vehicles due to a hazard lighting defect. The hazard lights will not function when the ignition is off.
This defect causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, which governs lamps and reflective devices. When hazard lights do not work, the vehicles cannot communicate emergency status to other drivers, which increases the risk of a crash.
A total of 908 vehicles are affected by this recall. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed on June 13, 2022. Dealers will repair or replace the wire harness free of charge.
Owners should contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611 or 1-877-973-3486 to schedule their repair. Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov for more information.
