Altec Recalls 2020 Aerial Work Platforms Due to Sprocket Weld Failure

The recall is due to a potential failed weld between the leveling sprocket and the hub assembly. This defect may result in uncontrolled platform leveling, which increases the risk of injury and death.
Owners will be notified by mail starting September 15, 2021. Altec will inspect the sprocket assembly and replace it if damaged. If no damage is observed, a secondary retention kit will be installed to limit platform rotation. All repairs are free of charge.
