2021 KZRV SPORTTREK and STRATUS trailers water heater circuit fire hazard

KZRV, L.P. is recalling certain 2021 SPORTTREK and STRATUS trailers due to a wiring defect in the water heater circuit. The affected units were installed with an incorrectly sized circuit breaker (20 amp instead of 15 amp), which may prevent the breaker from tripping properly when it should.

This wiring protection failure creates a fire hazard. An improperly sized circuit breaker cannot adequately protect the water heater wiring from overcurrent conditions, which could lead to overheating and fire.

Approximately 117 units are affected. Owners should contact KZRV customer service at 1-800-768-4016 (ext. 154 or 153) to arrange a free replacement of the circuit breaker. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 13, 2021.
