KZRV, L.P. is recalling certain 2022-2023 travel trailers, including the Sportster, Connect, Confluence, Durango, Durango Gold, Sonic, Sportsmen, Sportsmen Classic, SportTrek, Spree Escape, and Venom models. A total of 4,449 units are affected by this recall.
The recalled trailers are equipped with electric retractable awnings that have a defect in the welded seam of the fabric. The welded seam may separate, potentially allowing the awning to drop or extend beyond normal operation. An awning that drops can increase the risk of injury to occupants or bystanders.
Affected owners should contact KZRV customer service at 1-800-768-4016 (extensions 153 or 154) to schedule service. Dealers will inspect and replace defective awnings free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 19, 2022.
