What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: Electrical fire risk from improper circuit breaker amperage in vehicle water heater and fireplace circuits. The hazard is theoretical with no reported injuries or property damage; per rubric, risk-of-harm without reported incidents scores 3.
Plain-English summary
KZRV, L.P. is recalling certain 2022 Sporttrek and Stratus trailers due to improper wiring in the electrical system. The water heater and fireplace circuits are connected to a 20-ampere circuit breaker instead of a 15-ampere circuit breaker.
An incorrectly sized circuit breaker may not provide adequate circuit protection, increasing the risk of electrical fire. Dealers will replace the circuit breaker free of charge.
Owners of affected trailers should contact KZRV customer service at 1-800-768-4016 (extension 154 or 153) to arrange the repair. Owner notification letters were mailed on December 6, 2021.
