Heavy-duty trucks recalled for fuel rail defect and fire risk

PACCAR is recalling certain 2018-2021 Kenworth and Peterbilt commercial trucks because a sealing washer defect in the fuel rail assembly may cause fuel leaks. When fuel leaks occur near an ignition source, fire risk increases.

PACCAR Incorporated is recalling certain 2018-2021 Kenworth T270, T370, T440, T470, T800, T880 and Peterbilt 337, 348, 365, 367, 520, and 567 commercial trucks. The high-pressure fuel rail assembly in these vehicles may have a sealing washer that does not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes.

When a sealing washer does not seat properly, the fuel rail assembly can leak diesel fuel. In the presence of an ignition source, a fuel leak increases the risk of fire.
