Our severity reasoning: This recall addresses a fire-risk hazard in vehicle appliances where incorrect stove installation could allow drafts to force flames into a non-sealed cabinet. No injuries, deaths, or fires have been reported. Per the rubric, risk-of-harm products where harm has not yet been reported score 3 (High).
Plain-English summary
Airstream, Inc. is recalling certain 2020 and 2021 Flying Cloud and International travel trailers. The stove/cooktop in these units was incorrectly installed in a non-sealed cabinet.
When a draft occurs, flames from the stove can be forced into the non-sealed cabinet. This creates an increased risk of fire within the travel trailer.
Approximately 667 units are affected. Dealers will install panels and baffling to isolate negative airflow and prevent flame inversion, at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 7, 2021.
