Airstream travel trailers recalled for cooktop gas leak fire risk

Airstream, Inc. is recalling certain 2021-2023 Basecamp, Bambi, Atlas, and Interstate travel trailers that are equipped with SDS2 2-Burner Drop-in Cooktops. The internal aluminum burner tubes that connect to the gas valves may fracture.

When a burner tube fractures, it can cause a gas leak. If this occurs in the presence of an ignition source, it increases the risk of a fire.

Dealers will install a regulator support bracket at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed starting April 29, 2023.
