Rosenbauer Aerial Vehicles Recalled for Power Take-Off Defect

Rosenbauer America is recalling certain 2018-2020 Rosenbauer Aerial vehicles. The recall involves 43 units where the power take-off (PTO) may disengage, resulting in a loss of hydraulic power that renders the aerial device inoperable.
The defect may cause the aerial device to be non-operational when needed at a fire or rescue scene, which increases the risk of injury. Rosenbauer will notify owners, and dealers will change the solenoid and case on the Muncie PTO free of charge. The recall began on December 23, 2020.
