Thor Motor Coach Motorhomes Recalled: Pedestal Bolts May Fail During Crash

The barrel chair pedestals are secured with bolts of the wrong size. In a crash, these incorrectly-sized bolts can fail to hold the pedestal, allowing it to separate from the floor. The affected vehicles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 207 (Seating Systems) and Standard 210 (Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages).

Approximately 248 units are affected by this recall. Owners should contact Thor Motor Coach customer service at 1-877-855-2867 to arrange an inspection and repair. Dealers will inspect the pedestal bolt size and correct the hardware as necessary, free of charge. The recall began September 14, 2020.
