Thor Motor Coach Recalls 2020 Tellaro and Sequence Motorhomes for Seat Belt Defect

Thor Motor Coach is recalling 2020 Tellaro and Sequence motorhomes because missing seat belt brackets could cause anchorages to fail in a crash.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a structural vehicle defect where seat belt anchorages could fail in a crash, increasing the risk of injury to occupants.

Plain-English summary

Thor Motor Coach is recalling certain 2020 Tellaro 20AT and Sequence 20A motorhomes. The dinette or booth seat belt reinforcing brackets may be missing on these vehicles. This defect causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 210, which governs seat belt assembly anchorages.

In the event of a crash, the absence of these reinforcing brackets could cause the seat belt anchorages to fail. This failure would increase the risk of injury to the occupants seated in those positions.

The recall began on May 19, 2020. Thor Motor Coach will notify owners, and dealers will install the missing brackets free of charge. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236. TMC's number for this recall is RC000187.
