RV generator transfer switch wiring defect may energize shore power connection

Keystone Fuzion and Impact toy hauler travel trailers may have incorrectly wired generator transfer switches that could energize the shore power connection, creating an electrical shock hazard. Keystone will inspect and correct the wiring at no charge.

Keystone RV Company is recalling certain 2020 and 2021 Keystone Fuzion and Impact toy hauler travel trailers. The affected Fuzion models are 357, 369, 373, 379, 419, 424, 427, 429, and 430. The affected Impact models are 26V, 28V, 29V, 311, 317, 330, 343, 359, 367, and 415.

The generator transfer switch in these trailers may be incorrectly wired. Specifically, the transfer switch 'Line' wiring (which connects to the shore power cord) and the 'Load' wiring (which connects to the power center) may be reversed. This incorrect wiring could allow the generator to energize the shore power connection.

An energized shore power connection presents an electrical shock hazard to users. If there is no power inside the unit while the generator is running, owners should discontinue use of the generator until the recall remedy has been performed.

Keystone will notify owners and arrange for dealers to inspect the generator and correct the wiring at no charge. Owners can contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369 to schedule the service. The recall began August 27, 2020.
