Volkswagen Recalls Multiple Models Due to Regulatory Non-Compliance
Volkswagen is recalling specific 2007-2019 models because internal evaluation modifications may cause non-compliance with regulatory requirements, potentially increasing crash risk.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The source states that non-compliance could lead to an increased risk of crash, fire, or injury, but no specific injuries or fatalities are reported, fitting the 'risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported' criterion.
