The recall addresses a defect in the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), which may be incorrectly set. As a result, the system may not illuminate the warning on the instrument panel when a tire's pressure is 25% below the recommended cold inflation pressure. This failure means the vehicles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138.
