Plain-English summary
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC is recalling certain model year 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR vehicles built between February 19, 2016, and August 15, 2016. The recall addresses a manufacturing issue where assembly corrections may have resulted in bolts connecting the rear lower control arms to the knuckle assembly failing prematurely.
If these bolts fail, the rear control arm assembly may separate from the vehicle. This separation could result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected bolt connecting the rear lower control arm to the rear knuckle joint free of charge. The recall was expected to begin on December 19, 2016. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
