What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Plain-English summary

Triple E Recreational Vehicles is recalling certain model year 2014 Regency GT 24MB motorhomes manufactured between September 1, 2013, and December 1, 2013. These vehicles are equipped with certain Atwood on-demand water heaters that have a water and gas valve defect.

The defective valve may cause the water heater to overheat the water in the hot water supply tap. This overheating may result in the release of steam, which could cause the operator to scald themselves, increasing the risk of injury.

Triple E will notify owners, and Atwood dealers will remedy the hot water heater issue free of charge. The recall began on January 8, 2016. Owners may contact Triple E customer service at 1-204-325-4361 or Atwood customer service at 1-574-264-2131. Triple E's number for this recall is Atwood Water Heater.
