What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Plain-English summary
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2016 Honda Pilot 2WD vehicles manufactured between May 4, 2015, and September 8, 2015, and 2016 Pilot 4WD vehicles manufactured between May 7, 2015, and September 4, 2015. The recall affects approximately 35,406 vehicles.
In the affected vehicles, if a safety system such as tire pressure monitoring, anti-lock braking, or electronic stability control malfunctions, the instrument panel may fail to illuminate the corresponding warning light immediately. The warning lamps will only illuminate when the ignition is turned off and then back on. This defect causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 126, 135, and 138.
If a safety system cannot immediately warn the driver when needed, the driver may be at an increased risk of a crash. Honda will notify owners, and dealers will update the instrument cluster software free of charge. The recall began on December 11, 2015. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
