Nissan Recalls 2015 Sentra, Versa Note, and Rogue for Door Latch Defect

Nissan North America, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2015 Nissan Rogue, Sentra, and Versa Note vehicles. The recall covers Rogue vehicles manufactured between June 9, 2015, and June 10, 2015, as well as Sentra and Versa Note vehicles manufactured between June 5, 2015, and June 13, 2015.

In the affected vehicles, the driver-side front and rear doors may not fully latch. This defect causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 206, "Door Locks and Door Retention Components." A door that does not fully latch may open while the car is moving. This distraction may increase the risk of a crash, and a vehicle occupant who is not wearing a seatbelt may fall out of the vehicle, increasing their risk of injury.

Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the date, lot number, and cavity code on the left front and rear door latches and replace them as necessary, free of charge.
