Plain-English summary

Winnebago Industries, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Travato, 2014 Trend, and 2014 Itasca Viva! motorhomes. These vehicles were manufactured between November 13, 2013, and February 11, 2014, and are built on the Ram ProMaster chassis.

The recall addresses a defect where the accelerator pedal may get stuck in the wide open throttle position if pushed downward at a certain angle. This occurs due to interference with the accelerator pedal stopper. A stuck accelerator pedal can result in uncontrolled acceleration, which increases the risk of a crash.

Chrysler has notified owners, and dealers will replace the accelerator pedal stopper with a larger one free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2014. Owners may contact Winnebago at 1-800-537-1885 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
