In the affected buses, one of two battery cables may have been inadvertently installed in a p-clamp. As a result, the cable that is not run through the p-clamp may rub against the p-clamp, causing a short circuit. A short may result in a vehicle fire.

Prevost will notify owners, and dealers will remove the p-clamp, inspect, and replace the affected battery cable as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on December 16, 2013.
