Chrysler Group LLC is recalling certain model year 2014, non-SRT trimmed Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured between January 14, 2013, and March 20, 2013. These vehicles are equipped with premium headlamps. The recall affects 4,242 vehicles.
In the affected vehicles, electrical spikes may occur when switching between daytime running lights and parking lights. This can cause the parking lamps to turn off. Without properly functioning parking lamps, the vehicles do not conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108. This defect may reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
