The defect involves the roll stop latches on the outer barrier of the wheelchair lift, which may become bent or misaligned over time and with frequent use. If the latches are insufficiently secured, a wheelchair occupant may defeat or ride over the roll stop. If this occurs while the lift platform is in an elevated position, the occupant could fall and sustain injury.
Eldorado will notify owners, and dealers will repair the vehicles free of charge. The safety recall began on September 14, 2012.
