KTM and Husaberg Motorcycles Recalled for Handlebar Clamp Cracks

KTM North America, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2010 and 2011 KTM and Husaberg motorcycles manufactured between November 2009 and November 23, 2010. The affected models include the KTM 450 EXC, 530 EXC, and 690 Enduro R, as well as the Husaberg FS 570 and FE 570S.

The recall is due to improper heat treatment of the handlebar clamps, which can develop cracks. This defect allows the handlebar to move from its set position. Unexpected movement of the handlebar may cause the driver to crash, possibly resulting in injury or death to the rider or others.
