Plain-English summary
San Pacific International, Inc. is voluntarily recalling approximately 24,576 "Bamm-Bamm's Drum and Flute" toys. These toys were sold for $3.98 each at retail stores in the amusement parks of Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA; Carowinds in Charlotte, NC; Kings Island in Cincinnati, OH; and Great America in Santa Clara, CA, from May 1988 through October 1991.
The recall was initiated because a bell attached to the top of the drum and a ball attached to the side of the drum came off during U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) testing. These small parts present a choking hazard to young children. Neither CPSC nor San Pacific International is aware of any injuries involving this product.
Consumers are urged to take the toys away from young children immediately. To obtain a full refund, including reimbursement for postage, consumers should mail one side of the plastic drum to Laura Miranda at San Pacific International, Inc., 542 Brannan St., San Francisco, CA 94107. The remaining portion of the toy should be discarded. For more information, consumers may contact Laura Miranda at 1-800-223-4438.
