The toys were imported from China and sold for $2.49 each at retail stores within The Dollywood Company amusement complex in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, from April 1991 through June 1992.

The recall is due to a choking hazard. CPSC testing revealed that the mouthpiece on the flute portion and the black balls on the drum portion of the toy may come off. These small parts present a potential choking hazard for young children. The product consists of a whistle resembling a flute at one end and a hand-drum at the other, measuring 7-1/2 inches long. The drum features two black balls, each 1/2-inch in diameter, hanging on strings.

Neither CPSC nor The Dollywood Company is aware of any injuries involving this product. The potentially hazardous toys were identified at the Port of Knoxville, Tennessee, during a joint CPSC/U.S. Customs surveillance program. Consumers are urged to immediately discontinue use and take the toys away from young children.
