Neither the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) nor Gerber is aware of any injuries or chokings involving these pacifiers; the recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injury.

Consumers should immediately take the recalled pacifiers away from young children. To receive a free replacement pacifier, consumers should call Gerber Products Company at 1-800-4-GERBER. The potentially hazardous pacifiers have been removed from store shelves, and pacifiers packaged after February 1, 1993, were modified and are not part of this recall.
