Hedstrom Corporation reported that a three-year-old girl strangled when her mitten strings caught in the handrail attachment area of a Big T slide. The CPSC is also aware of a separate incident where a hood string became entangled in a similar slide. Although Blazon-Flexible Flyer and Turco are unaware of specific entanglement reports, the CPSC considers their products functionally identical to the involved Hedstrom slide.

Hedstrom, Blazon-Flexible Flyer, and Turco are out of business, so replacement guards are no longer available. Consumers who own these products should stop using them immediately and discard or destroy them.
