LJN sold approximately 1.4 million of these toys between 1985 and 1989 for up to $20. The toys feature an 18-1/2 inch square plastic base with four rigid blue plastic posts that snap into place at the corners. The toys were promoted with World Wrestling Federation action figures, which were sold separately. Consumers can identify the specific recalled product by looking underneath the base for the molded words: "1985 LJN TOYS LTD. TITAN SPORTS INC. MADE IN U.S.A."
Consumers who own these wrestling ring toys are urged to remove the four rigid plastic posts immediately to prevent additional injuries. Because the posts are rigidly secured, consumers may need to break them to remove them. LJN Toys Ltd. is no longer in business and cannot be contacted.
