Playskool Baby, Inc., a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc., is voluntarily recalling Sesame Street Big Bird pacifiers (models #3680/3682) and Happy Face Animal mouse and elephant pacifiers (models #3185/3188). The company determined that these pacifiers may separate, creating small parts that could present a choking hazard to children.

Approximately 844,000 of these pacifiers were sold nationwide since 1989. Although the products passed all Federal test requirements, Playskool Baby received 41 complaints from consumers in 1991. The company has received no reports of serious injury.

Consumers should return the affected pacifiers to Playskool Baby, Inc., Consumer Service Department, 200 Narragansett Park Drive, P.O. Box 200, Pawtucket, RI 02862-2000, for a free alternate replacement pacifier. Consumers may also return the pacifiers to the retailer for a refund.
