Inc. is voluntarily recalling its "Musical Mother Goose Mobile" (Model No. 658) and "Musical Carousel Crib Mobile" (Model No. 555) in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Since 1988, approximately 39,640 Model No. 658 units and 3,729 Model No. 555 units were imported and sold nationwide.

The recall is due to a small parts violation. The wind-up knob on the music boxes may come off, and sharp pieces of plastic from the housing may detach. These small parts present a choking hazard to young children, while the sharp plastic pieces pose a risk of puncture or laceration. Neither CPSC nor Stahlwood is aware of any injuries associated with these products, and the recall is being undertaken as a precaution.

Consumers should immediately take the toys away from young children and dispose of the product. The manufacturer is out of business and is no longer able to provide refunds or exchanges.
