Plain-English summary
This CPSC recall involves Vive Health Bed Rails, models LVA1024 and LVA3031BLK. The record states the LVA1024 comes in a white frame with a black handle measuring 20 inches wide by 32 inches tall, and the LVA3031BLK comes in a black frame with a black handle measuring 13 inches wide by 18 inches tall.
The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails because when attached to a bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. The record adds that the bed rails do not bear the required hazard warning labels.
The record lists about 12,355 units affected. They were sold online at Amazon.com and ViveHealth.com from August 2023 through December 2025 for between $45 and $80. No injuries or incidents have been reported.
Consumers should stop using the bed rails immediately and contact Vive Health for a full refund. The record states consumers should write "RECALLED" on the upper and lower bedrails with a permanent marker, photograph the marked rail with the buyer's name on a piece of paper and email it to the address given in the notice, then dispose of the product per state and local waste procedures. The record notes only bed rails purchased after August 21, 2023 are included.
