Agrish adult bed rails recalled over entrapment and asphyxiation hazards
About 5,000 Agrish adult portable bed rails are being recalled because users can become entrapped within the rail or between the rail and the mattress.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: Scored 3 under the risk-of-harm criterion: the rails fail a mandatory standard and pose an entrapment and asphyxiation hazard, with one fall reported and no injury stated.
Plain-English summary
Agrish-branded adult portable bed rails, models 2512, 2513 and 2516, for use on adult beds, are being recalled. The model numbers are printed in the owner's manual. The rails have white tubing with rounded gray foam rubber handle grips, and some models include a gray fabric pouch, support legs and a motion-sensor light.
The bed rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails because when attached to a bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. The firm has received one report of a consumer fall involving an Agrish adult bed rail with model number 251.
About 5,000 units were sold online at Amazon.com from April 2025 through October 2025 for between $50 and $80.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bed rails and contact Agrish Direct for a full refund, registering at http://www.agrish.online/recall for disposal instructions.
