The lighter has a four-position adjustable metal nozzle, adjustable flame, a hands-free operation lock, a black ergonomic non-slip rubber grip and a metal base with black velvet on the bottom. UPC 0-70257-52226-6 is printed on the back of the product box.
The torches violate the requirements of the mandatory safety standard for multipurpose lighters, posing deadly fire and burn hazards to consumers. The CPSC notice states that no injuries or incidents have been reported.
About 175,000 units were sold at Walmart and Home Depot stores nationwide and online at Walmart.com and Homedepot.com from November 2024 through August 2025 for about $15.
Consumers should immediately stop using the torches and either return them to the retailer for a full refund or store credit, or contact Calico Brands for return instructions and a full refund. Calico Brands will supply a shipping label and appropriate hazmat packaging so the torches can be returned free of charge.
