The motors were sold nationwide from August 2003 through December 2013 at various retailers including ABC Supply, Lowe's, and Beacon, both in-store and online, for approximately $74 to $92.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled electric motors. To request a refund, consumers must contact Air Vent at 877-247-4878 (8 a.m.–5 p.m. ET, Monday–Friday), fill out an online registration form with photos of the motor, and await confirmation that they have a recalled unit.
