The hazard exists because the light kit wires can be damaged, which poses an electric shock risk to consumers. Hunter has received one report of damaged light kit wires, but no injuries have been reported. Approximately 7,800 units were sold nationwide through lighting store showrooms and online e-commerce retailers between November 2017 and May 2019 for prices between $150 and $300.
